报告人简介：

Dr. Sun Jun got his Ph.D from Tsinghua university in 2001. He joint Fujitsu R&D Center(FRDC) in 2002. He is now the director of Information Technology Laboratories of FRDC. He serves as program committee member of many document processing related conference such as ICDAR, ICFHR, DAS, CBDAR. He is the member of IAPR Industrial Liaison Committee.

报告摘要：

Deep Neural Network have recently achieved impressive performance in the area of visual recognition and speech recognition. Character recognition is one of the most successful application area. Fujitsu R&D Center won the 1st place in the handwriting Chinese recognition competition in ICDAR2013. The proposed ATR-CNN further improves the recognition accuracy to the same level as human observers.
